Catholic Charities School-Based Counseling

We contract with the St. Charles Parish School Board Special Education Department to provide school counseling to students determined to be in the special education system and exhibiting a need for counseling services.

Our licensed clinical social workers provide mental and social health counseling services for St. Charles Parish children as part of their individual education plan (IEP).  These services can only be accessed through St. Charles’ Pupil Appraisal evaluation process.  

Services include:

• Individual and group counseling
• Crisis and protective intervention
• Social skill training
• Behavioral management
• Planning and consultations with parents and teachers
• Information and referral
